Italian dishes, specifically pasta, pesto and lasagne, were a hit. Everyone tasted and approved. Dessert too!

Before Christmas we had 18 women bring 75 cookies to share. Everyone went home with "Christmas in the box!"

Three times every half year we gather to bring inspiration home with us; the Creative Cooks event. These evenings include new recipes and tips from the kitchen as well as other flavorful tips for family living.
In the menu to the left you can choose past or coming events that you would like to know more about. Each event site has all the information pertaining to that evening collected on one page.
Most single Creative Cooks events are built up of similar components. We have a welcome drink and often an activity, for example guessing apple sorts by taste testing. Each event includes some form of demonstration, either in part or in full in the kitchen. Our tummies are always satisfied as we get to dine on good food pertaining to the theme. And as we dine, we enjoy a time of 'Symphony'. This part of the evening never passes without loads of laughter. We tend to take home with us more than just a new recipe....helpful tips come in many forms.
 This 'getting to know you better' element, otherwise known as the Creative Cooks Symphony is like the cherry on top. The root of this word is sumphoneo; from sum-together, and phoneo-to sound, or 'to sound together, be in accord, be in harmony.' In old texts, this root word has been used to express agreement/unity. For the Creative Cooks it is a time of sounding good together! There's nothing more melodious than a room full of giggling women who accept each other.
During symphony, we take turns sharing from our own experiences about a specific theme which is announced in the invitation, giving plenty of time for preparation. Various symphony talks have centered on 'your favorite cooking utensil', 'a romantic story', 'something about yourself that others wouldn't know', 'silly summer fun', 'something sweet that you are looking forward to in the next month.' Each event has a diferent topic to discover together.
